IBI History - Three Topic in an HL Paper
IBI History - Three Topic in an HL PaperI've looked through the HL paper and to my surprise we're only dealing with 3 topics: researching, working with foreign leaders, and international business. So I'm not quite sure what I believe is the importance of IBI history, if indeed there is one at all.In my last HL paper, I did talk about researching. I stated that researching can be crucial to keeping IBI a viable career. This is the backbone of the worldwide spread of IBI, so how is researching being listed as three topics in HL paper? Well, researching has a definite purpose. For example, researching has been used by IBI consultants all over the world to help companies find a market in countries where competition is extremely stiff. Researching opens the door to new clients and a new revenue stream for a company. Through researching, companies learn how to overcome potential difficulties when it comes to developing a client base in the United States. They can then use their knowledge of the US market to better their service.Through the use of research, international business is also covered. I think this is actually very important because research can be a very effective way to establish international business relations. In addition, the research can provide companies with information on what types of issues are commonly faced by clients from other countries. However, the HL paper I looked at did not deal with any international business; in fact, it barely even mentioned the topic at all. Perhaps it would be beneficial to some people to talk about international business, especially if the topic were to get more attention.I'm not sure what the reasoning behind this is, but it makes me wonder. I also found it odd that they did not discuss research in my last HL paper, which gave me more questions about the importance of IBI history. If the authors of the HL paper truly wanted to discuss international business, why did they not go into a bit more detail on it? After al l, the subject matter is arguably one of the most important, if not the most important, areas for IBI consultants.Maybe I am misinterpreting the wording, but I honestly would have thought it would have been included. Please consider all this and think on it.
